The Lexus IS 300 is a mid class four-door saloon which was offered by a 3.0L I6 (215HP) and produced from 1998-2005. So it was the most powerful variant of the XE10 series. Like its German counterparts the IS 300 was also built in station wagon form.
Appearance in Need for Speed[]
In Need for Speed: Underground 2 the IS 300 is available in level 3. Compared to other level 3 cars the IS 300 is distinct a worse choice, because it doesn't has any particular advantages over those, even if maxed out.
In Need For Speed Most Wanted the IS 300 is already available at the beginning of the game costing 27,000 credits. Most players advise not to get the IS300 despite it has the best handling of all the starter cars. Just like in NFS:U2, even if maxed out, the IS 300 is still slightly slower than most of its rivals.
In Need for Speed: Carbon the IS 300 is only unlockable through beating a reward card. It cannot be driven in career mode, but in quick race only. Performance-wise it really isn't special again except the car handles pretty good.
